My Journey
I became passionate about photography at the age of 15, when I started working for a photography studio in Minnesota. I began my career in photography taking pictures of children, senior class photos, families, animals, and friends. After I graduated from high school, I knew I wanted to further my career in photography. I moved to Santa Barbara, California, and attended the top photography school in the country –Brooks Institute. It was at Brooks that I obtained a four year Bachelor of Arts degree in professional photography. While studying, I worked with some of the best photographers in the country as well as modeling agencies in Los Angeles. I then moved to New York, where I did an internship with well known celebrity photographer, Mark Seliger, after graduating from Brooks in 2004. I lived on the East Coast for two years working with fashion and advertising photographers. Working on the East Coast was where I found my love for weddings. I learned through my own professional experiences that my love for beauty and fashion could be fulfilled, by creating the picture perfect memories of modern day fairytale weddings. My dream has taken me places I never thought I'd be. I moved back to Minnesota to continue my journey in photography. Photography has given me the opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime.
